These Flash animations were produced for Skillstar Communications to train their employees on customer service and corporate policies through the company intranet.
The Transfer Shuffle
For this animation the client provided the storyboard, the character graphics, audio files and a script.
Basketball
For this animation the Skillstar provided computer sketches by Dave Carpenter and a script. Since there was no voice over I provided sound effects to enhance the animation.
Inspirational Mug
For this animation I was provided a stick figure storyboard, audio files and a script. Developing the characters was very enjoyable and allowed me to be in total creative control of the animation.
A fellow co-worker coded a Visual Basic program to pull volume peeks from a sound file (.wav) and spit out a string of values from 1(low peeks)-9(high peeks). I then used those values for the lip synching in these animations. The mouth movement however did not match the voice over which provided quite a challenge for both "Inspirational Mug" and "The Transfer Shuffle" animations. I developed a better method for doing this task using a phonetically spelled string of letters corresponding to the audio and the number of frames used in Flash.
